We didn't make it to In-N-Out in Vegas, so we decided to try to find one in LA.After asking several people in the airport and getting various answers on locations, the most promising one being 15 minutes away by car and who-knows-how-long-of-a-walk, we finally found the toll-free corporate headquarters number and found out there was one only a few blocks north of the airport.
By then we'd walked several miles southeast of the airport (LA weather is kinder than Vegas weather for walking!), so it took the help of two of our siblings giving us GoogleMaps directions over the phone and one friendly bus driver to get there, but we did it!
And the food was, of course, delicious - definitely worth the walk and a perfect 'last meal' in the States.

Funny you should say that. When my coworker came back from abroad in Europe after a few months there, he said the 1st thing he did was go American and eat a burger: In-N-Out was it! Great blog and great read! I stumbled upon your blog because I'm planning to circumnavigate the globe, and I'm giving myself a year. Working at a New Zealand vineyard just strikes me as interesting, so I Googled that and your blog came up. -Marcel
